In general, writing assignments always give me anxiety, so when a time limit is placed on one, with the obsessive-compulsive need to reword myself and question myself coupled with the difficulty I already have on expressing my thoughts on paper, it is horrifying in my overdramatic, emotional, anxiety-ridden mind!

In addition, my grades are especially important at this time in my college classes, and in the past, because I test well on multiple-choice exams, I have relied on test scores to keep my overall grade high.

Being told that our presentations would help us prepare and knowing there would be an essay exam very early in the unit was slightly helpful for the anxiety that instinctively takes over. I thought it would just prolong the anxiety and make it worse, but I think it gave me more time to train my mind not to panic. However, exam reflection essay, the most helpful preparation was the tips posted in Blackboard. Reading them helped give me ideas on how to prepare, how to structure, and even a little of what information to include.

This, along with our meeting, exam reflection essay, helped me have an idea of what I was going for as I entered the room to take it. At first during exam reflection essay exam, exam reflection essay, I was feeling pretty confident. I had a pretty close guess on what the test question for the long essay would be, so I immediately started to jot down notes of ideas popping in my head.

I separated them into a couple main categories and began to write pretty quickly. I thought I was moving right along, until I looked up and saw there exam reflection essay only 20 minutes left. More than half of the time was gone, and I was only halfway through my first essay! I thought I was doing well! I figured something was better than nothing. I was incredibly distraught leaving the exam. I felt that I had good thoughts to share but did not have the time to do so.

Eventually, I reminded myself to wait until grades exam reflection essay returned to at least hold my anxiety at bay until then.
