This page will introduce you to the Online Reading Comprehension Lab. It addresses the importance of literacy, the difference between active reading and passive reading, a description of some common reading systems that promote active reading, and an overview of site resources. Go to the Introduction. Learn how to preview a text in order to familiarize yourself with its contents before you read.
